This will be the last shirt of the year. It was for the jingle bell jog, Lana and I did it together. A little cold but lots of fun they even give you bells to make noise while you run.

Great Grandma is 92
We (Mom, Kristi, her friend Cris, Uncle Kelly, Aunt Kathy, Great Grandma and I) had a wonderful stay at the cabin over the Labor Day weekend celebrating Great Grandma's 92ND birthday. We had a tasty lunch on Jackson Lake (at our favorite place on the Lake; Moran Bay), ate dinner at the Lodge when the power went out at the cabin (and over a four state area but because the Lodge has a generator they had power), watched the bears along Pacific Creek three different times, viewed a fun movie and just sat around and talked while we watched it rain. I think all of us had as much fun on this trip as any of us ever had. It was SOOOOOO relaxing! Here are a few pictures so you can enjoy it vicariously.
Showing off the cake/cobbler with it's fancy candles ... we learned a long time ago not to put that many individual candles on the cake ... they turn into a bonfire! To say Great Grandma had a good time and was very happy would be an understatement! She blew out both candles so her wish will come true ... what was the wish? You can't tell or it won't come true!
Here's the gang ... Kriti's friend took the picture. As you can see a coat was much appreciated as the heat of summer came to an end over the weekend. Notice Mom's fancy new "HAT".

6th shirt

OK this should have been the easiest one to earn but it hurt the most! It might have been because it happened the week after the spudman. I was so sore I had to skip a Tri I had planed for the weekend. Every year the local baseball team lets us have a game night we get a shirt and play a game with the other sponsors. I went 3 for 3 batting scored from 1st base on a double and most important went 4 for 4 from the snack bar. The food was free also. Matthew got to be a bat boy for the game. It is always a great night gives you a greater appreciation for what the ballplayers do

4th shirt
4th shirt 1st Tri. Just a sprint 1200 ft swim/12 Mile bike/ 3.3 mile Run (OK more of a walk) It was slow I had not even taken a stroke swimming so I was the last one to get in the watter. It felt good to do even if I was slow always good to finish. Now I need to start losing some weight for the Spud! http://www.wannabeehospitality.com/triath/trailblazer.html

3rd shirt
After the breakfast everyone rides their own way to work. I rode up the trail next to the Spokane river that is running fast with the spring runoff. Biking to work is a great way to start the day.

You have to start somewhere!
Goal #1. Get to my Air Force weight. I joined Weight Watchers 2 weeks ago and my starting weight was 230 ouch! I have not been able to get back yet to see how it’s going but I am feeling better. I will need to lose about 10 pounds a month to be in form for the spud.

1st Shirt!
I got my first shirt this weekend. On Saturday Matthew and I ran the in the Deer park WA Frostbite 5K. They were not kidding about the frostbite it was cold and the road was covered with Ice. We got great Techno shirts from brooks.
We did not make great time with the Icy roads and me still needing to lose some weight. We did have lots of fun and dressed warm enough not to get frostbite. I have also read 2 books so my 2008 goals are moving right along.
