I've been around...

In my mind I thought I'd been around, but after seeing everybody else's maps I realize I've a long way to go to catch up.

I didn't realize that I had been to the high point of any state but Arizona, but apparently I had when I visited Clingman's dome in TN. My low points were accidental as well, but in every case i've stepped off land into or onto (in a boat or a dock) the water... MA I'm not quite sure about because it was in a tidal basin and i may have to go do that again (with PLEASURE!)

I did not know that you had done AZ's when did you do that one? AZ was my only accidental highpoint. I did that one just as something to do, and got started from there.

I think we all have been around, I work with people who have not been to more then a few western states. I would feel bad if I had not see everything I have seen now. MaKayla dated a guy that had never left UT in his entire life, and only had been in few county's in Utah. I don't understand that, there is a big world out there to see.

Mike, I did it with YOU (duh!) and Dad and Logan. Training to do the Grand.

Okay, see what you have to look forward to in 11 months and 2 weeks? Loss of memory, not remembering very important facts like this? I can remember now, very clearly.

I love the map you used that shows both High and Low points where did you find that. Maybe we should add UT to your Lowpoint list. You could meet us on the way back from CA.

When are you going to Beaver Dam Wash? I've been studying that trying to fiqure out how to find it. I think the GPS is wrong... not that I have a GPS anyway (hint hint santa) when i type the coordinates in google earth it shows the wash where it crosses the nevada/utah border.

I love any excuse to go to southern utah in the winter. Let me know when.

I think I've "accidentally" high pointed North Carolina. I had one of the most terrifying experiences of my life hiking in Linville Gorge Wilderness Area... and I think I spent the previous night camping (actually shivering/freezing from the rain and humidity)in Mt. Mitchell State Park. I remember climbing to the top of an observation tower which didn't have a view because of the weather.

I'm checking my journal to make sure... but soon you may see a yellow North Carolina on my map!

correction a RED north Carolina, which would be a high and low point for me (no metaphor intended).

Suddenly I feel like I'm talking to myself.

I'm glad that you posted that URL because I was starting to wonder why your maps had the chicken pocks!
